Speech translation for legal interpreting

What it does

PICOS listens to what is being said, transcribes it, and translates it into the other language. The translation appears on screen, and PICOS can also read it out loud in the target language, so you can hear the rendering as well as see it.

Legal terminology is handled deliberately rather than left to a general-purpose translation service, and terms that change meaning by area of law are resolved according to the context you are working in.

Nothing runs in the cloud.

English and Spanish, with French available in the Pro edition. Support for additional languages is coming soon.

Requirements

Mac computer with Apple silicon (M2 or later). Running macOS 13 or later.

PICOS is a support tool and is not intended to be used on its own or to replace a qualified human interpreter or translator. Speech recognition and machine translation are imperfect, and legal terminology varies by location. Interpreters and other users remain responsible for verifying the output and for their own professional judgment.
