PICOS Pocket collects no data. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party code, and no networking code of any kind. Nothing you do in the app is ever transmitted off your device by the app.

What PICOS Pocket collects

Nothing. PICOS Pocket contains no networking code and integrates no third-party software. It does not transmit any data off your device, and therefore does not collect, store on any server, sell, or share any personal information, voice data, search history, usage data, or analytics. PICOS Pocket has no servers, and the app has no way to send anything to the developer or to anyone else.

Where this policy says “collect,” it means what the App Store’s privacy framework means: transmitting data off the device in a way that someone can access it beyond servicing your request. By that definition — and any other — PICOS Pocket collects nothing.

What stays on your device

Everything. Specifically:

• Your term base — the built-in legal glossary plus any terms you add or edit — is stored only in the app’s local storage on your device.
• Your lookup history — the app keeps a short list of recent lookups so you can re-open them. It exists only on your device and is never transmitted by the app.
• Your voice — when you use voice lookup, speech is converted to text on your device, and the app requires on-device recognition for every request. The app does not transmit audio anywhere, does not record it, and does not save it; audio is used only in the moment to recognize the term you spoke. If on-device recognition is unavailable, voice lookup simply does not run.
• Spoken results are generated with the text-to-speech built into your device.
• Your settings — stored locally, nothing more.

If you choose to export your term base, the app creates a CSV file and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet. Where that file goes from there is entirely your choice.

System features such as speech recognition and text-to-speech are provided by the device’s operating system and are governed by the operating system vendor’s own terms and privacy policy, and by the choices you make in your device settings.

Permissions the app requests

• Microphone — used only while you are actively using voice lookup, to capture the term you speak.
• Speech recognition — used to convert your speech to text on your device.

You can decline both and use the app fully by typing.

Tracking

PICOS Pocket does not track you. It contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers, no analytics tools, and no third-party SDKs, and it shares nothing with anyone.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated and the effective date revised.
